Annamarie Mostert
I have 38 years’ experience in editing a variety of text types and in conducting research
on the acquisition of English as a second and as a foreign language; assessment and
language programme evaluation; the development of effective education
management and quality assurance strategies; and the development of learning and
teaching material according to curriculum requirements.
I have 32 years’ experience in teaching and mentoring English teachers
and subject advisers at district and at national level. I have three years’ experience in mentoring academic writing consultants to support postgraduate students in developing their academic writing skills.
Recently, I have facilitated the development of lecturers’ article writing skills
during a retreat.
My experience as facilitator and presenter of workshops to education
managers and to non-governmental national and international partners totals 23
years.
I have been doing translations from English to Afrikaans texts during the course of my career, especially after having completed courses in translation methodology and practice.

For the past four years, I have managed and edited the double-blind peer reviewed publication of two guest edited academic journals.
During this period, I have also been the supporting editor of 25 bimonthly publications of TaxTalk, the South African Institute for Taxation's journal for tax practitioners.
